SERVPRO Provides Help with Commercial Water Damage at your Business in Eagle Rock

Nobody likes walking into your office complex for work in the morning to find out that a disaster had occurred overnight. When water enters your structure during off hours when nobody is working inside your office, the issues can worsen until work gets conducted. A rainstorm that strikes in the middle of the night or a pipe break can cause your office complex to get flooded. And since water follows gravity, your floors could be affected the most.

Whenever our SERVPRO technicians conduct commercial water restoration in Eagle Rock, we can check the carpeting in your entire building to determine where the H2O went. We can use a moisture sensor with two prongs on the bottom that will light up and beep wherever it senses wet carpeting. Once we figure out which sections of your office complex got wet, we can formulate a plan of attack to restore your building to its preloss state.

If your carpets get saturated, the fibers can start to separate from the backing. If delamination like this occurs, your carpets and pads will get removed and replaced. If delamination has not occurred, then we can take steps to remove moisture from the carpets.

First, we can use heavy-duty extractors to remove liquid water from carpets. We can place a fan underneath your carpets if the subfloors get wet. Next, we can set up fans and dehumidifiers to conduct applied structural drying (ASD). And since wet carpets attract dirt, we can conduct restorative carpet cleaning after the drying and other cleaning procedures are completed.

Ways to dry out other types of floors:

  • Set up a desiccant dehumidifier to dry concrete floors
  • Set up drying mats for hardwood floors to prevent buckling
  • Use a mop or squeegee for laminated floors
  • Create circulation inside the building and increase the heat to speed up drying

If you ever walk into work one day and notice wet carpets, call SERVPRO of Eagle Rock / South Glendale at (323) 255-1000.
