Eagle Rock Art Gallery Gets Expert Fire and Smoke Damage Restoration and Cleanup

Fire damage in an Eagle Rock home or business is always a sad situation. In many cases, fires are preventable such as not leaving candles unattended, overloading electrical sockets, or cooking techniques that use oil safely. But other causes cannot be prevented, such as lightning strikes or the actions of others that affect a property in Eagle Rock. As this client of SERVPRO explains in the video, imagine the feeling of despair when an electrical fire wipes out the life's work of an artist.

The fire in this Eagle Rock art gallery occurred and completely gutted the gallery. The gallery owner stated in the video he lost 51 years of work along with the walls, floors, and ceiling of his gallery. SERVPRO technicians found that the high heat of the blaze as it spread caused too much fire damage to save the building materials through SERVPRO's professional fire damage restoration methods using their training as fire and smoke restoration technicians (FSRT).

Actions by SERVPRO in the Eagle Rock Gallery Fire Restoration

The techs from SERVPRO needed to perform a massive amount of demo on the Eagle Rock art gallery to prepare it for the required reconstruction. As seen in the video, the walls and ceiling have extreme charring from the fire in the gallery, and only the framework remained structurally intact. SERVPRO techs removed the debris and fire-damaged materials and contents. After the fire and smoke damage restoration and cleaning in the Eagle Rock gallery, it was ready for reconstruction after the needed removal of fire odors still present in the gallery structure.

Odor Control By SERVPRO in the Eagle Rock Gallery

A business that caters to the public, particularly one that sells items for use in homes, has to be absolutely free of foul odors. SERVPRO technicians know through their training and experience working on Eagle Rock properties that soot particles can exist smaller than the human eye can see. Once airborne, they can travel on shoes, clothing, or simply float to another area and release smokey odors. These odors can penetrate art materials such as wood frames, fabric canvas, and rag watercolor paper; it is crucial that all particulate matter gets neutralized by the SERVPRO techs to avoid this occurrence in the Eagle Rock gallery once it reopens.

Along with running air scrubbers as a proactive measure to capture airborne soot and dust, SERVPRO technicians also use the equipment during fire restoration services to eradicate smoke odors at the molecular level. Thermal fogging is a very effective method and often gets used in tandem with hydroxyl generators which emit UV rays that destroy airborne soot particles and renders them inert. This action by SERVPRO techs ensures that there are no reminders of the fire damage in the Eagle Rock gallery-ever.

The video shows SERVPRO technicians handling the installation of walls, overhead beams and painting the needed cosmetic touches to restore the gallery. A large amount of rebuilding was required, including basics like putting in windows. The client mentions he felt his gallery looked better than before the fire damage, thanks to SERVPRO.
