Los Angeles Mold Damage Remediation

Mold damage in this Los Angeles Home began with an upstairs air conditioning air handler leaking water down the interior of the wall below. The water damage was hidden and thus undetected until moisture penetrated through the drywall. Dark and moist conditions often spawn mold damage in homes in as little as 48 hours. The first step was to attend to the source of the water, the air-handling unit. A local air conditioning company was called in to remedy the problem. During this time, we were testing for the presence of moisture in the walls. Once determined, we removed the affected drywall, baseboard, and flooring that our testing had shown to be water damaged. The interior wall structure and sub-flooring were dried plus treated with an antimicrobial product to inhibit any further mold growth.
