Mold Attack in Northeast Los Angeles

This log cabin structure in Northeast L.A. was a cellulose source of food for mold, only lacking sufficient moisture to grow. The dormant mold spores received the required moisture from a weakness in the exterior siding. It a house of only wood, a rapid response and mold remediation was crucial to prevent ongoing damage. Our SERVPRO of Eagle Rock/South Glendale applied microbial remediation technicians entered the scene; it was lights out for the mold. We discovered the entry points of the water seepage, sealed them up, and then wiped down the one mold patch that was apparent. We checked with moisture sensors and infrared cameras but found no other damp areas that could generate a mold bloom.
